Baby Schedule 12 Months

Here's what Henry is doing in a typical day:

Breastfeeding 2 times per day
Cow's Milk 1 time per day (~5 oz)
Solid Food 4 times per day + Sippy cup of water/juice
Napping 2 times per day
Sleeping in his Crib Overnight 10-11 hours

12 Months
6:30 Wake and Breastfeed
8:30 Breakfast
10:00-11:30 Nap
12:00 Lunch
2:15 Milk
3:00-4:00 Nap
4:00 Snack
5:30 Dinner
7:30 Breastfeed and Bed

The week after his first birthday, I transitioned Henry's before afternoon nap breastfeed to a sippy cup of milk. I had a small amount of breast milk left in the freezer, so I mixed that with cow's milk for 4 days. I warmed the milk, but if he didn't finish it, I put it in the fridge and he took the rest of it cold after his nap with his snack. On the 5th day (first day of 100% cow's milk), I just gave him the milk cold in his sippy cup...and he drank it all!

I really wanted him to drink the cow's milk cold! I appreciate the convenience of being able to bring it in a small cooler if we are going out and, even at home, I just don't want to mess with heating it up in a glass bottle placed in hot water (or microwaving it) for many months to come. I was surprised he took it so well, but then a friend who gives a lot of pumped breast milk because she works full-time away from the home told me that she will give her breast milk cold and baby drinks it without complaint! I think babies have a preference for warm milk, but depending on your child's temperament they may take it cold without any trouble.

Moving forward... I think he would be fine to get a sippy cup of milk in the morning instead of breastfeeding, but I'm not quite ready to cut that one yet. His late afternoon snack (after his second nap) is still hanging on. I'm going to have to wait until his nap schedule changes before I can get that snack more in the mid-afternoon. A few days he has slept in late (~7:30) and then taken just one nap from 11-1:00 (lunch at 1:00 and snack at 3:30) and then bedtime around 6:30, but I don't think he is quite ready for just one nap yet.
